Sanctuary 4
Sanctuary 4, lies
to the right of the 4th hole. At the north-east end there is
a sheltered grassy area set with old wild olive trees. On one
side of this area are ornamental plantings, and on the other
a bank resplendent with wildflowers in spring. At the south-west
end of this sanctuary there are dense bushes over a deep culvert
under the service road. Though man-made, this culvert is one
of the most important sites in all the sanctuaries, for it is
here that rare white-rumped swifts regularly nest.
