Since 1991 Valderrama has the Audubon certificate in environmental management and is considered a wildlife sanctuary.
Since the eighties, Valderrama has been considered an environmental reference in the golf industry. It was the first golf club in Europe to implement sustainable procedures to save water, protect the wildlife and save in chemicals and fuel.
