Valderrama reached an agreement to celebrate for two years (1999,2000) the final of the world champions series, in which would stand out the confrontation between Tiger Woods and Sergio García, at that time winner and runner-up, respectively, in the US PGA, along with Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who came with his recent victory in the Volvo Masters held in Montecastillo (Jerez, Cádiz).
